1. Who we are
MascoAI is run by MascoAI ("MascoAI", "we", "us"). These terms are an agreement between you and us covering the MascoAI website and app. By creating an account or making a purchase, you agree to them. You must be at least 16, and old enough to enter a contract where you live, to buy credits.
2. Your account
You sign in with a one-time email link or with Google. Keep access to that email or Google account secure, since anyone who controls it can use your MascoAI account. Each account is for one person or one business. Tell us straight away at support@mascoai.com if you think someone else has accessed it.
If you create MCP keys to connect an AI assistant, each key acts as you and can spend your credits. Keep keys private, and revoke any key you no longer use or think has leaked from the MCP page in the app.
3. What MascoAI does
MascoAI uses AI models to create mascot characters from a text description, a photo or an existing mascot, and then to animate them or turn them into interactive sprite sheets for websites. AI results vary. A result may not match your prompt exactly, so please review every file before you publish it.
4. Credits
- Creating, animating and exporting mascots uses credits. The app shows the cost before you start an action.
- If an action fails on our side or at one of our AI providers, the credits reserved for it are returned to your balance automatically.
- Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred or sold, and do not expire while your account is open.
- We may change how many credits an action costs. Changes never affect an action you have already started.
5. Payments
Purchases are processed by Polar, our merchant of record and authorised reseller. Polar takes the payment, issues the receipt and handles sales tax or VAT, and Polar's Buyer Terms also apply to your purchase. The final price, including tax, is shown at checkout.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period, adding that period's credits to your balance, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from Billing in the app or from the link in your Polar receipt. Cancelling stops future renewals, and you keep the credits you already have. Credit packs are one-time purchases: they add credits once and never renew. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
6. Your content
You keep all rights to the prompts, descriptions and images you give us. You let us store and process them, and send them to our AI providers, only to run the service for you. You confirm you have the right to use everything you upload. For example, do not upload someone else's photo, artwork or logo unless you have their permission.
7. Your mascots
Once created, the mascots, animations, sprite sheets and other files you make with MascoAI are yours to use, including commercially: in your product, on your website, in marketing and on merchandise. We do not claim ownership of them, and we will not showcase them publicly without your permission.
AI can sometimes produce results that look like existing characters or marks. Before registering a mascot as a trademark, or using it anywhere a clash would matter, check that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.
8. Acceptable use
You agree to follow our Acceptable Use Policy. We may refuse a request or remove content that breaks it.
9. Availability and changes
We work hard to keep MascoAI running, but the service is provided "as is" and may sometimes be unavailable. We may add, change or remove features. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you by email or in the app before the change takes effect. Continuing to use MascoAI after that means you accept the new terms.
10. Ending your account
You can stop using MascoAI and delete your mascots at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other users at risk. If we close your account without you having broken these terms, we will refund any paid credits you have not used.
11. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we give no warranties beyond those in these terms, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by law.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the country where MascoAI is established. This does not remove any protection given to you by the consumer laws of the country where you live.
